Prior to last night’s game, I begged, pleaded, and tried to manifest the Tar Heels doing something different. Anything. Heck, I would’ve taken James Brown scoring three points as enough of a change from the vicious cycle this team was stuck in. Fortunately for all of us, this game played out differently than their previous games, but some things were still more of the same. What really saved them, however, was Elliot Cadeau knocking down a contested three-pointer to tie the game, and making his free throw to give them the lead. Markus Burton somehow got a promising drive to the rim with mere seconds left, but Cadeau held his ground and made Burton miss what would’ve been the game-winning layup.
