Today is quite the football day. Later today, North Carolina Tar Heels football will take on NC State in their annual end-of-season rivalry clash. However, this year’s game has some added meaning for both sides of the matchup.
Earlier this week, UNC announced that coach Mack Brown is out at the end of the season, with today’s game against State being the final of his Carolina coaching career. It’s been an ignominious end for the Tar Heels’ all-time winningest coach, but they have a chance to send him out a victor today.
For the Wolfpack, they need a win today to reach the six-win bowl eligibility threshold.
