UNC vs. James Madison: Three Things to Watch

Continuing to discuss the turmoil that resides in the North Carolina quarterback room almost feels like picking the low-hanging fruit with its painful repetitiveness. Don’t point any fingers here though, as the Tar Heels, who presumably had a position battle all offseason, have seemingly gone backwards in three weeks from where they started. It’s too ripe to ignore.

Sure, the devastating injury to starter Max Johnson (who is back in Chapel Hill after successful procedures in Minneapolis) doesn’t help the case. But Saturday against JMU will be Week 4, also known as the 33% mark of the 2024 regular season, and playing this secretive chess game regarding the multi-quarterback approach feels increasingly unserious.
