After UNC lost in irritating fashion to Duke, I thought to myself: what do I even say at this point? Is there anything to say? Mack Brown found a way to fail his team yet again, tackles were missed, and opportunities to put the nail in the coffin were squandered. Duke got to ride off into the sunset with the Victory Bell, and now the Heels are left with more questions than answers. Mack Brown tried his best to paint the game as a typical rivalry game with a typical rivalry game result, but don’t let his manipulation tactics fool you: this was him mismanaging the second half of a game in which UNC had a 20-point lead.
