UNC vs Dayton: Player of the Game - Seth Trimble

Related Topics: Dayton

Through five games, the biggest story about UNC men’s basketball is the improvement of Seth Trimble. Since returning to UNC from the transfer portal, nearly every single report out of the gym in the offseason mentioned how much better he was playing, and he made good on those reports starting with UNC’s preseason exhibition against Memphis, scoring 33 points on unreal efficiency while spelling R.J. Davis. In the games that have counted, he’s been just as awesome as billed, but in a secondary or tertiary role: averaging a cool 15 points a game is nothing at all to sneeze at, but even with his critical role in helping the Heels mount a comeback against Kansas, he hadn’t quite taken over a game the way that it had appeared he could against Memphis.
