It took all 40 minutes and a back-and-forth roller coaster ride, but the North Carolina Tar Heels finally got back in the win column on Saturday against Pitt. UNC managed to keep the Panthers off the board for the final two minutes, denying them on a couple possessions to eke out a 67-66 victory. At this stage of the season, everything around UNC tends to come under the cloud of their shaky NCAA Tournament hopes, so at the very least they didn’t take another blow.
However, considering those shaky hopes, every game well and truly matters, and now Carolina will face a short turnaround ahead of another big clash.
