For the time being, Carolina’s season has a feint heartbeat.
With the Tar Heels sneaking out a win against Pittsburgh on Saturday in Chapel Hill, they were able to stop a slide and at least pick up a quality win, even if it won’t be considered a Quadrant One win. There were good things to take in, including RJ Davis seemingly getting his confidence back, and the defensive chops the Tar Heels showed buckling down and preserving the lead in a final minute during which Pitt had multiple chances to snatch it.
There’s no rest for Carolina though, as the Tar Heels head down to the Tigers’ Den to take on a Clemson Tigers team that is fresh off a thrilling upset of Duke on Saturday night.
