UNC’s home opening win over Chattanooga was an impressive team effort on both ends of the floor.
Kennedy Meeks put up a double-double. Kenny Williams had 11 points and six rebounds. Tony Bradley put up 12 and eight in just 15 minutes. Six different Tar Heels scored in double figures. The defense held a pretty good Chattanooga team to just 57 points on 35% shooting. The Mocs’ starting bigs combined for just eight points.
Almost everyone played well for UNC. However, if you had to pick out one standout player, it was probably Joel Berry.
Carolina’s starting point guard led the Tar Heels in scoring with 18 points on 5-8 shooting, going 2-4 from three.
