North Carolina moved to 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, downing the visiting Charlotte 49ers by a score of 38-20. It wasn't pretty for 60 minutes inside Kenan Stadium, as the pesky opponents gave the Tar Heels moments of trouble. That said, Mack Brown and his squad got it done in comfortable fashion, even with new starting quarterback Conner Harrell.
The roster was missing some key pieces on Saturday and also introduced some young talent in the back half of the contest, creating a wider lens to grade this young 2024 squad through. Even with some new names and unfamiliar faces, each position group played a role in the North Carolina victory.
