North Carolina got their 2024 college football season started in quite the dramatic fashion. Last Thursday in Minneapolis, Minnesota’s last second field goal when just wide to allow the Tar Heels to win 19-17 in a season opener on the road.
After the chaos of that moment and what led up to it — including the season-ending horrific injury suffered by quarterback Max Johnson, UNC will now get to return to Chapel Hill to kick of their home slate this year. Their first Kenan Stadium test of the year will be Charlotte of the AAC. Ahead of tomorrow’s action, let’s see what the 49ers will be to the table against the Heels.
