UNC’s Trademarks and Licensing office transferred $3,524,316 to the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid, contributing to Chancellor Folt’s goal of keeping Carolina affordable for students. The money came from revenue made during the 2016-2017 fiscal year. All net revenue from the trademark licensing program goes directly to merit and need-based scholarships. (UNC.edu)
