CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina track and field teams will go on its first road trip of the outdoor season this weekend, as the Tar Heels will travel to Knoxville, Tenn.., for the 50th annual running of the Tennessee Relays on April 6-8. UNC will have the chance to compete at a top tier track and field facility, as the Tom Black Track at the LaPorte Stadium has been newly renovated.
“This weekend the Tar Heels return to Knoxville for the Tennessee Relays,” said UNC head coach Harlis Meaders. “I remember competing at the Dogwood Relays (renamed to the Tennessee Relays) when I was here, and I recall how beautiful the facility was.
