UNC too late in solving Clemson’s defense, then doomed by two turnovers, phantom penalty

Clemson’s defensive line manhandled UNC’s offensive line during most of the Tigers’ 45–37 victory in the ACC championship game. By the time the Tar Heels seemed to solve that defense in the second half, two key turnovers and a phantom offside penalty on an onside kick kept them from erasing a 19-point third-quarter deficit. “That’s the best team I’ve played in my entire life,” UNC tailback Elijah Hood said.
