CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina will honor Stuart Scott, iconic ESPN sports broadcaster and 1987 Carolina alumnus, posthumously with an Oct. 23 induction to the N. C. Journalism Hall of Fame, based in the UNC School of Media and Journalism.
Jones Angell, journalism alumnus and the “Voice of the Tar Heels,” will emcee the induction ceremony, which will also feature speakers UNC Chancellor Carol L. Folt, Carolina soccer legend Mia Hamm and UNC School of Media and Journalism Dean Susan King.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall in the University’s George Watts Hill Alumni Center.
