On a cool and overcast day in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, Boston College and North Carolina met in a rematch of last year’s ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The Eagles brought an undefeated regular season record to the contest, a number one ranking, were playing on their home field, and had revenge on their mind after going down to the Tar Heels last year. If that weren't enough, BC got out to a 5-0 lead.
But to this team, none of that mattered.
The Tar Heels rallied from a 6-1 deficit to quickly tie it at 6-6. Boston College was able to get the lead back before halftime, 9-7, but the second half would belong to Carolina.
