Yesterday afternoon, radio personality John Canzano tweeted that the NCAA was on a phone call with the Oregon State men’s soccer team in regards to an issue that transpired during the Elite Eight match against UNC. The issue? The Beavers may have used an ineligible player, Javier Armas, during the game, who wasn’t supposed to play after racking up eight yellow cards during the season.
Good news... Oregon State men's soccer is in the College Cup.
Bad news... NCAA is on a conference call with OSU admins now. Beavers may have used an ineligible player in the quarterfinals.
