The national champion women's lacrosse squad was one of eight Tar Heel teams to finish in the top 10 in NCAA Championship play this season to propel the University of North Carolina to a sixth-place finish in the 2021-22 Learfield Directors' Cup.
This is UNC's 23rd top-10 performance in the 28-year history of the Cup, its fourth time in the top six in the last seven competitions and the 20th time Carolina secured the highest finish among Atlantic Coast Conference institutions.
The Tar Heels totaled 1087.25 points, including 100 for winning the NCAA women's lacrosse title and 90 for the men's basketball team playing in the national championship game.
