North Carolina plated 10 runs in the first inning and then coasted its way into the ACC Baseball Tournament semifinals.
The Tar Heels have scored 22 runs in its first two games and whipped N.C. State 12-4 in the final pool play game on Friday night at Louisville Slugger Field.
North Carolina now plays Miami at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the second semifinal. The game will be played one hour after the completion of the noon game between Duke and Florida State. The title game is set for Sunday at 11 a.m.
