North Carolina has added yet another highly touted in-state football recruit. Defensive end Kedrick Bingley-Jones gave his verbal commitment to UNC during a ceremony at his high school. The decision was expected for the past few weeks, but that speculation has now been confirmed.
A consensus 4-star recruit, Jones had originally committed to Florida. He re-opened his recruitment in January shortly after visiting UNC. The Heels quickly emerged as possible destination and Bingley-Jones has visited Chapel Hill at least five more times — more than any other school he visited. The Providence Day School athlete out of Charlotte, NC ultimately decided to stay closer to home.
