DURHAM, N.C. – After sitting out Day 1 of the action, top-ranked and top-seeded North Carolina opens play in the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Tournament on Wednesday, taking on fifth-seeded Syracuse in the semifinals. Game time is 1 p.m. at Duke's Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium.
Wake Forest and Virginia meet at 3:30 p.m. in the second semifinal and the winners will meet Friday at 2 p.m. for the ACC championship.
UNC (15-0, 6-0 ACC) wrapped up the regular season on Saturday on this same blue turf with a 2-0 win over the Blue Devils.
