UNC lets winnable game slip away with late crucial errors in loss to Louisville

The calendar may say 2025 now, but UNC’s problems still feel very much like 2024. The Tar Heels went on the road at Louisville for the kickoff of the meat of their ACC season and fell behind early, rallied in the second half, and then committed some atrocious blunders late that sent them to a 83-70 loss.

Carolina fought back to tie the game late at 61-61 before Louisville went on an 18-8 run that was assisted by two absolutely brutal errors on the part of Ven-Allen Lubin. Lubin fouled a three-point shooter on the defensive end that gave the Cardinals all three points.
