The University of North Carolina Tar Heels men’s Lacrosse team will not repeat as National Champions in 2017.
On Saturday night, the North Carolina Tar Heels (8-8) lost to the Albany Great Danes (15-2) 15-12. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in New York.
North Carolina got the scoring started, grabbing an early 1-0 lead. It was the second time that the Great Danes had trailed any team all season.
After the first goal of the game, Albany scored six consecutive goals to grab momentum and they never really looked back.
UNC went into halftime down 14-3 and searching for some answers.
