Former North Carolina defensive end and sure-fire Hall-of-Famer Julius Peppers is contemplating his future after the Carolina Panthers’ loss and subsequent exit from the 2018 NFL Playoffs.
The 16-year veteran, who’s had stints with Carolina, Chicago and Green Bay during his storied and illustrious professional career, could be hanging up his cleats for the final time.
If he does, it would come after one of his best statistical seasons in the league, highlighted by his team-leading 11 sacks to go along with 33 total tackles. The 11 sacks he recorded this season are the most he’s tallied since 2012, and tied for the fifth-highest total of his career.
