Although recent reports suggested otherwise, it appears that Clippers rookie forward Brice Johnson could be returning to the basketball court in the near future.
Clippers.com writer Rowan Kavner reported last week that Clippers coach Doc Rivers didn’t anticipate having Johnson back on the basketball court any time soon. Johnson has been sidelined since training camp with a herniated disk in his lower back, forcing him to miss the entirety of his rookie season to this point.
And although the 6-foot-10, 230-pound big man had been increasing his on-court activity over the last few weeks, Rivers’ comments seemed to suggest that Johnson’s return was still quite a ways out.
