The Matt Harvey saga has taken another interesting turn in New York.
Just a few weeks after being moved to the bullpen by the New York Mets, Matt Harvey is close to joining another team. Harvey has refused to go down to the minor leagues for an assignment and the team announced on Friday that they have designated the pitcher for assignment.
The move will officially be made on Saturday morning, giving the Mets seven days to workout a trade for Harvey or release him outright.
The former ace has struggled this season with the Mets and was moved to the bullpen where he had a few outings.
