The Cleveland Indians received some bad news regarding one of the top closers in the game on Thursday afternoon.
Relief pitcher and former University of North Carolina standout Andrew Miller will miss some time for the Indians after suffering a hamstring injury.
Miller had to exit Wednesday’s win over the Chicago Cubs after throwing just two pitches to Anthony Rizzo. On the second pitch, Miller came up holding his right hamstring with some discomfort.
He attempted to shrug off the trainers from coming onto the field but it didn’t work. A day later, the Indians have officially placed Miller on the 10-day DL with a strained hamstring.
