Former North Carolina standout Marquise Williams ins one of a few Tar Heels currently on a roster for the new XFL league that is in its second week of the re-birth. Williams is a member of the New York Guardians and opened the year as the backup to former Penn State and NFL quarterback Matt McGloin.
Through the first two games of the year, Williams has primarily served as the backup to McGloin and has spent time on the punt coverage team. But is that set to change soon?
During Saturday’s 27-0 loss to the DC Defenders, McGloin and the Guardians offense really struggled to move the football.
