The North Carolina football program has been selected to play in the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman against the Temple Owls, the selection committee announced on Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland on Friday, December 27, and has a noon kickoff. It will be aired on ESPN.
It’s the Tar Heels’ 34th bowl game appearance in program history, and first since 2016. It’s also North Carolina’s first trip to the Military Bowl, and first ever game against Temple.
The Tar Heels finished the regular season with a 6-6 record, becoming bowl eligible in their final game against conference rival NC State.
