UNC Football: Tar Heels will enter Week 8 in tie for first place

For the most part, the turnaround under head coach Mack Brown has been so far, so good in Chapel Hill. In his second stint as the head coach, Brown has the Tar Heels at 3-3 after seven weeks of football and in contention for not only a bowl game but the Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division.

The Tar Heels won their first two games vs. South Carolina and Miami before dropping three-straight against Wake Forest, App. State and Clemson. But last Saturday, the Tar Heels got above the .500 mark in conference play with a big road win at Georgia Tech, a place that has given them trouble over the last decade.
