While the North Carolina Tar Heels football program is having a very disappointing season, Saturday provided a bright spot for the team.
The Tar Heels snapped a 6-game losing streak with their 49-26 win over Western Carolina on Saturday, giving UNC their second win of the season and some momentum going into the season finale against N.C. State.
UNC’s offense was powered by a mix of the run game and pass game as they racked up 296 yards on the ground and 358 yards through the air. Seven different players had a rushing attempt in the game, led by freshman Javonte Williams who had 93 yards on 17 carries and 3 touchdowns.
