The University of North Carolina decided to postpone last Saturday’s home opener against UCF due to Hurricane Florence making landfall on the state. The Hurricane came through the states of North Carolina and South Carolina last week and has since moved out, leaving feet of rain, damage and a death toll of at least 37 people.
While we love sports, sometimes these things have to take a backseat to whats going on in the real world whether we like it or not.
Following the events of last week, the North Carolina Tar Heel Football team decided to take action and help raise money and accept donations for those who were affected by the natural disaster.
