After Wisdom Asabaro made a surprise announcement on Tuesday night and the three unsigned prospects officially turned in their letters, the Tar Heels got another big commitment early Wednesday night.
Four star outside linebacker Eugene Asante became likely the final recruit added to UNC’s 2019 class on Wednesday, offering his verbal to the Tar Heels. Asante picked UNC over Virginia Tech, Maryland, Nebraska and Florida State, opting to go with the Tar Heels.
The linebacker is the 24th player to pledge his commitment to UNC under new head coach Mack Brown, who has put together an impressive 2019 class after only being on the job for a few months now.
