After a convincing non-conference victory over Georgia State in Week 2, the UNC football program was back in ACC action on Saturday night against the rival Virginia Cavaliers.
In need of a victory, the Tar Heels’ offense stepped up to the occasion. The Sam Howell-led unit put up 59 points and 699 total yards en route to defeating the Cavaliers for their first conference win of the season.
Right away, you could tell that North Carolina’s offense was firing on all cylinders. The Tar Heels scored touchdowns on each of their first three possessions, only needing a total of two minutes and 41 seconds to do so.
