Another Saturday afternoon football game in Chapel Hill, and another loss for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
This Tar Heels’ defeat came at the hands of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who put up nearly 600 yards of offense on the day. They also held the ball for more than 36 minutes, and gained 27 first downs compared to the Tar Heels’ 19.
In typical Georgia Tech fashion, the Yellow Jackets threw the ball just twice. The two passes, though, went for two completions for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Yellow Jackets scorched the Tar Heels on the ground, running the ball 74 times for 461 yards and four touchdowns.
