The North Carolina football program picked up its 21st member of the 2019 class on Tuesday when junior college defensive lineman Ray Vohasek committed to the Tar Heels.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound lineman out of College of DuPage selected North Carolina over Kansas after a recent visit to Chapel Hill. Vohasek vowed to not make his college decision during an official visit, and stuck with it. He instead waited until after his visit to UNC, taking time to deliberate over his college decision before committing from his home in Glen Ellyn, Illinois a couple of days later.
His weekend trip to Chapel Hill was the second official visit he’s taken to UNC — thanks to a new NCAA rule — and his first since Larry Fedora was removed as head coach.
