Last year, everybody and their mother had eyes on UNC’s Pro Day, with it being the only chance the public would have to see potential first overall pick Drake Maye throwing in a live, practice setting. This year, while the Tar Heels have some draftable talent, it wasn’t quite the event that last year’s was. Thirty-one out of 32 NFL teams were represented, with no head coaches or general managers in sight, and even UNC’s own social media seemed pretty muted about it.
Almost as much was made about the event itself as the fact that new program head coach Bill Belichick was not in attendance.
