North Carolina’s struggles on the football field this season have been well documented. And those struggles can be attributed to a variety of reasons, but are certainly highlighted by a lack of experience and a multitude of injuries.
After losing starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to the NFL Draft, a talented receiving corp that included senior wide out Ryan Switzer, and a backfield that boasted one of the best one-two combinations in college football in T.J. Logan and Elijah Hood, the Tar Heels’ offense is nearly unrecognizable.
The Tar Heels lost a number of contributors on the defensive side of the ball as well, including cornerback Des Lawrence, safety Dominquie Green and defensive end Mikey Bart.
