The battle for the starting quarterback job for the North Carolina Tar Heels just got a little more interesting.
As the Tar Heels begin Spring practice under new head coach Mack Brown, some breaking news was revealed on Friday morning regarding that quarterback situation. Brown announced at a press conference on Friday that Nathan Elliott had left the program.
Elliott had one year of eligibility left for the Tar Heels after graduating but has decided to leave the program and accept a graduate assistant position at Arkansas State.
The quarterback started 3 games in 2017, leading the Tar Heels to 2 victories.
