While it was a disappointing season overall for the North Carolina Tar Heels football program in 2017, there were some bright spots.
One of those bright spots came from freshman running back Michael Carter who flashed signs of being a playmaker right away. In UNC’s Week 1 loss to Cal, Carter scored two rushing touchdowns and finished the game with 94 yards on 11 carries.
The four-star running back showed off his speed and offered signs of hope that the offense can be explosive again. Going into 2018, Carter is expected to have a big role in this offense and will be one of those guys that can find the endzone any time he touches the football.
