The more things change, the more they stay the same. And that appears to be the case with the North Carolina football program as newly crowned head coach Mack Brown is back in Carolina blue, and bringing a few familiar faces with him.
Multiple sources reported Thursday that Brown had named former assistant coach Greg Robinson and former player Tommy Thigpen to be co-defensive coordinators for the Tar Heels.
Although Robinson has been largely awful as a head coach, he has had some success on the defensive side of the football. He was with Brown at Texas in 2004 when the Longhorns won 12 games including the 2005 Rose Bowl.
