The North Carolina Tar Heels are preparing to play in their first bowl game since 2016 as they will take on Temple in the Military Bowl. UNC won their final two games of the year to get to 6-6 on the year and become bowl eligible in the first year of Mack Brown’s second stint.
But before the Tar Heels take the field next week, Brown and the University reached an agreement.
On Saturday night, the program announced that Brown had agreed to a one-year contract extension keeping him in Chapel Hill through the 2024 season. The agreement maintains the original terms of his contract and keeps Brown with the Tar Heels for five years.
