After a beatdown in Chestnut Hill extinguished any positive vibes that had been building up this season for UNC Football, the school announced that Mack Brown has been notified he will not be the Tar Heels’ head coach in 2025. Brown will coach this year’s final regular season game, the Heels’ Senior Night against N.C. State — which means there’s not really room for a situation like East Carolina’s, where Blake Harrell just earned himself the full head coaching title after leading his team to a turnaround as the interim guy. And all of that is to say that it would seem that the search for UNC’s next football coach is on.
