The North Carolina football team defeated The Citadel Bulldogs 41-7 on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill. Redshirt junior Mitch Trubisky led the Tar Heels with 184 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.
What happened?
North Carolina started fast and never let up. Tight end Brandon Fritts was the first to score, hauling in a 19-yard TD pass from Mitch Trubisky in the first quarter. It was Fritts’ first touchdown of the year.
Things were looking good after Trubisky connected with Ryan Switzer for a 72-yard touchdown pass that made it 14-0 later in the quarter. From there, the Tar Heels cruised.
