North Carolina junior linebacker Chazz Surratt joined the Tar Heels two years ago as a quarterback, but after two largely unsuccessful seasons under center — and on the bench — the former two-sport All-American moved to the other side of the football. Now, with less than a season of linebacker play under his belt, it’s clear where Surratt should have been playing all along.
In Saturday’s 56-7 blowout victory over Mercer, Surratt recorded three solo tackles, two assists and a forced fumble. That brought him to 100 total tackles on the season with one game left to play.
