Last week it was linebacker Andre Smith that earned the ACC Linebacker of the Week award for his stellar play at Illinois. Now it’s Cayson Collins’ turn.
Collins was named the ACC Linebacker of the Week winner for his efforts against the James Madison Dukes in week two.
The junior linebacker recorded 10 tackles in the Tar Heels 56-28 win over James Madison, as the team moved to 2-1 on the season.
It was a shaky start for UNC’s defense at first, allowing the Dukes to score touchdowns on their first three drives of the game.
