Even at age 38, former University of North Carolina Tar Heels standout Julius Peppers is getting it done in the NFL. Peppers is in his 17th season and has appeared in 9 games while starting 6 for the Carolina Panthers.
He decided to return for another season after finding some success in the 2017 season. The Panthers drafted Peppers with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft and he’s back with them again, returning home to likely close out his career.
But Peppers is not only getting it done with his play. The defensive end has been nominated for the Art Rooney award, which recognizes a player who exemplifies sportsmanship on the field.
