It’s been a disappointing week for the North Carolina Tar Heels football program. First, they lost a heartbreaker to rival Duke.
Then on Saturday, the Virginia Tech Hokies lost to Georgia Tech making that prior UNC loss a little more tough to take.
But on Sunday, the team received some good news.
Class of 2017 running back Antwuan Branch has committed to the Tar Heels, flipping his prior commitment from Purdue.
The 5-foot-11, 200 pound back had numerous offers including Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Branch originally committed to Purdue on June 24, but decommitted on Sunday and announced he has flipped to UNC.
