The North Carolina Tar Heels’ women’s field hockey team will play for the national championship this Sunday afternoon.
Following their 6-3 win over No.7 Boston College in the Final Four on Friday afternoon, the No. 1 seeded Tar Heels have punched their ticket to the final. They will look to repeat as champions following their title last year and will be seeking their eighth field hockey national championship.
After the Eagles got on the board first with a goal in the first half off a penalty corner, the Tar Heels responded rather quickly. Forward Riley Fulmer got the Tar Heels on the board with a goal with just 8:11 left in the first quarter.
