After defeating the fifth-ranked Connecticut Huskies over the weekend, No. 1 North Carolina will now put its undefeated season on the line against ACC rival Duke. The Sunday afternoon match marks the Tar Heels’ penultimate regular season game, and moves them closer to a perfect 17-0 record prior to the start of postseason play.
A victory over the third-ranked Blue Devils would pit an unbeaten North Carolina team against Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia two Sundays from now. It would also be the Tar Heels’ opportunity to complete the only undefeated season in Division I field hockey this year.
