Fresh off twin third-place finishes in the ACC Championships, both the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Southeast Regionals last weekend with the goal of landing a spot in the NCAA National Championships. Let’s check in and see how they did this past weekend at the meet in Rock Hill, SC.
Men’s Team Recap:
The Heels placed second in a deep regionals field out of 33 teams, finishing behind Virginia by only six points. The top two finishers in each regional automatically qualify for the NCAA National Cross Country Championships, so Carolina will be headed to Wisconsin as a team.
